An artwork that took me on a wild and beautiful journey. I have worked on this piece in almost every mood possible – happy, frustrated, excited, sick, sad, bored, tired just to name a few. There were many potential outcomes for this piece (that I kept painting over and layering) in the centre but none sat quite right until this last execution. This work is a mixture of structure, chaos, intricacy and mess. A little like my mind. The words read 'open portals to my mind + soul'.
